ELECTRIC EARTH Parts Ways With Drummer, Announces Replacement
October 23, 2006Founding member/drummer Lars Berger of the Swedish hard rock band ELECTRIC EARTH has decided to leave the group and "pursue other interests," according to a press release. "The rest of the band would like to take the opportunity to thank Lars for all of his contributions during the years. Lars has been a vital part of the EE sound and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours. ELECTRIC EARTH would like to point out that the decision is Lars' own and that the rest of the members will continue to work together with a replacement drummer.
"The new drummer in ELECTRIC EARTH will be Magnus Olsson, a.k.a. 'Draken'. Draken played together with Lyris [M. Karlsson, bass] and Tommy [Scalisi, guitar] in their old band RAT SALAD and together they released the album 'The Golden Playground' back in 1994. The new foursome will be hard at work rehearsing the ELECTRIC EARTH material to be ready to hit the stage in a near future."
ELECTRIC EARTH, from Trollhättan, Sweden, released its debut album, "Organic Songs - Volume One", in 2004 through Phantom Music.
